Lucknow: State Bank of India (SBI) Managing Director Ravi Ranjan handed over a cheque of ₹25 lakh to Help U Educational and Charitable Trust, Lucknow, during his visit to the SBI Lucknow Circle on Monday. The contribution has been made under the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The financial assistance will be used for the upgradation of 10 primary government schools in Lucknow. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the local education infrastructure and creating improved learning environments for schoolchildren.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Ranjan said the contribution would support efforts to strengthen the education sector, promote the overall development of children and contribute towards improving literacy levels.
The event was attended by Dipesh Raj, Chief General Manager, SBI Lucknow Circle; Vimal Kishore, GM-I; Rajeev Kumar, GM-II; and Kaushalendra Kumar, GM-III.
Harsh Vardhan Agarwal, Founder and Managing Trustee of Help U Educational and Charitable Trust, also attended the programme.
The CSR initiative reflects SBI’s continued focus on community development and its efforts to support accessible and quality education through targeted interventions. The upgradation of the 10 government schools is expected to contribute to better educational facilities and a more conducive learning environment for students in Lucknow.
